What is Theater On Ice?

Theater on Ice is a form of figure skating that combines the grace of figure skating with the excitement of theater and dance. In Europe it is know as Ballet on Ice as the focus of this kind of skating is on the movement and collaboration of a group of skaters to deliver a theme or emotion.

The Royal Ice Theater Group’s focus is on providing performance opportunities to skaters of all levels that will enhance each student’s creative side and strengthen showmanship and musicality on ice.

10:00am to 10:25am ”It’s A Small World” Open to skaters of all ages and levels Description: Skaters will each have a part and costume representing one of the many cultures of the song while skating to this whimsical Disney classic.	5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. ”Disney’s Cinderella” Open to skaters of all ages and levels Description: Recreate this classical tale on ice. Skaters will audition for the parts of Cinderella, Drucilla, Annastaisia, Stepmother, the Fairy Godmother, the Prince, the King, mice, and ball attendants
10:25am to 10:50am ”Jungle Fever!” Open to skaters levels Basic 4 and higher Description: Skaters will have the chance to make the wild kingdom come alive on ice through a medley of some of our favorite animal inspired songs.	Cinderella on Ice Participation Fees: $50 Tuition payable to Coach Heather Jenks Public Session ice fee each week payable to Kingsgate $10-$30 Costume Rental
10:50am to 11:15am Adult Drama ”Bolero” Open skaters age 15 and older of all levels Description: Create your own Olympic experience skating to the song that scored Torvill and Dean a gold medal. Skaters will need to wear comfortable black pants and tops for the performance.
Participation Fees: $120 includes Tuition & Ice Time, $10-$30 Costume Rental. *Students who wish to participate in more than one program will receive a discount, see registration form for more details.

Performances will be held on Sunday, September 7^th at 3:30 p.m. at Castle Ice Arena and

at the Cascade Valley Figure Skating Club Competition at Castle Ice Arena (Date TBA)

Kingsgate Program:
*Performance on Sunday, September 7^th at 3:30 p.m. at Castle Ice Arena and

September 13^th at Kingsgate Ice Arena, time TBA

*Skaters who can only make one performance are encourage to still participate unless they receive the role of Cinderella, the Prince, or the Fairy Godmother
